OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) Internship Programme for Students 2025
Applications are now open for the 2025 OPEC Fund for International Development (OFID) Internship Program. This program offers students from a wide range of academic backgrounds the chance to gain hands-on experience with an international organization. The internship lasts between three to six months and is designed to:
- Provide a structured framework to support students in various OPEC Fund departments, ensuring their experience is enriching and valuable.
- Offer an immersive opportunity to gain practical insight into working for an international organization.
- Allow students to gain a deeper understanding of the OPEC Fund’s vision, mission, and core values.
Interns are placed in different departments based on their interests, qualifications, and the organization’s needs. The program offers opportunities to work in areas such as public sector operations, private sector and trade finance, financial operations, risk management, strategic planning, internal audit, human resources, administration, communication, legal services, and information technology.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist employees with their daily tasks and responsibilities.
- Conduct research and gather relevant information.
- Write and draft documents as needed.
- Organize and manage information efficiently.
- Provide general support to employees in their day-to-day work.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicants must be between 19 and 25 years old and currently enrolled in an undergraduate program (having completed at least two years) or a graduate program.
- Alternatively, recent graduates are eligible, provided they graduated no more than one year before the application deadline.
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Arabic, French, German, or Spanish is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A strong interest in the work of the OPEC Fund.
- Ability to work in a diverse, international, and multicultural environment with respect for diversity.
- Demonstrate the OPEC Fund’s core values: Integrity, Empowerment, Excellence, Innovation, and Community.
